Leah Roberts

In March 2000, 23-year-old Leah Roberts left North Carolina without telling anyone where she was going. Drawn west by Jack Kerouac, the wilderness, and a desire to find herself, she drove nearly 3,000 miles to Washington State. Days later, her Jeep was discovered wrecked in the mountains near Mount Baker. Leah was gone—but thousands of dollars, precious belongings, and questions were left in the wake of her disappearance. Years later, investigators uncover evidence suggesting the Jeep may have been deliberately sent over the embankment with no one inside. More than two decades later, Leah has never been found. Whatever happened on that lonely mountain road remains a mystery.
